Attorney

Dan Gunnells is an attorney with expertise in commercial and federal government contracting, legal representation and advocacy. During the early days of his career, Dan worked for two of the nation's preeminent AIDS Service Organizations - Housing Works, Inc. in New York City and the New Orleans AIDS Task Force - where he represented indigent and homeless clients with HIV and directed volunteer services. Growing up in rural Louisiana, Dan is well versed in the challenges faced by members of LGBTQ+ communities to overcome stigma and isolation. Dan made Staunton his forever home in October 2018 and is excited to bring his legal and advocacy experience to the Center's Board of Directors.
