Executive Director, Shenandoah LGBTQ Center

Ramond Curtis (he/him/his) serves as Executive Director of the Shenandoah LGBTQ Center, where he brings more than 20 years of experience in public service and advocacy to his work. He is passionate about building a community where people feel seen, supported, and have  access to the resources they need.

 

Throughout his career, Ramond has focused on breaking down barriers to access for people with marginalized identities and creating more opportunities for queer voices to be heard. He is a 4th generation military veteran, and a 1st generation college graduate. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University and a master’s degree in public administration from James Madison University. 

 

Ramond identifies as a gay cisgender man and is a proud husband and father. He has called the Shenandoah Valley home since 2020 and is deeply committed to serving the community he and his family call home.
